Exhibition tour with Tina Fiske

Free, drop-in
No booking required

In CAMPLE LINE's downstairs gallery, three women stand beneath a striped, fabric art piece which hangs like a hammock and is the size of a large beach towel. One woman points up at the embroidered detailing.

Join us on Sunday 13 April for a guided tour of our current exhibition – Sayan Chanda’s Between The Two Fires – with our director Tina Fiske.

We’ll take a walk through Sayan’s exhibition, chatting about the materials and processes he has used, and the experiences and rituals that have influenced his work as we go along. We’ll look at the unusual glazes Sayan has used in his stoneware sculptures, which appear like relics and make references to Hindu shrines, idols and ritual objects such as crowns and ceremonial lamps. Sayan has said about the works: ‘I want these pieces to have the duality of modest clay as the core and a precious exterior much like deities or religious objects in shrines.’
