This February, artist and writer K Morgan will undertake a weeklong residency at Cample. She will explore the terrain between Cample and neighbouring village Gatelawbridge and work on a writing project and a new group of drawings.
K is a writer and artist based in Glasgow. their book Ingress, a suite of linked essays, was released in 2023 by Pilot Press.
Their essays, reviews and prose poems have been released with the likes of Sticky Fingers, Nothing personal, Art Monthly, MAP, Tissue, CCA Derry/Londonderry, Design Exhibition Scotland and Worms. in 2023 they were part of the inaugural Praxis programme, run by the artist organisation Fluent, spending three months in Santander as one of 20 writers, artists, activists, curators, performers, researchers and choreographers.
K has variously studied fine art, furniture making and writing at the Glasgow School of Art, the Pratt Institute, Waters & Acland and the Royal College of Art.
With Sinae Park, they run the journal Fortified, a publication that showcases writing and image-making about eating.
