This spring, artist Kate Temple will lead the first in a number of short distance creative walks around Cample and in nearby local communities. Between April and September, we will undertake creative walks of varying lengths and follow routes to suit different abilities
For this first walk, Kate will guide participants through a range of creative processes that will use things found along the walk, and there will be opportunities to try some simple foraging and arranging activities, using our finds to try hapa zome (leaf-tapping), frottage (rubbings) and cyanotype (photographic printing process)
Many of us walk regularly, but don’t always have the chance to slow down or be creative outdoors. This walking workshop will give the opportunity to connect to our surroundings in different ways, learning how to be creative with what is all around us.
We will be following a section of the route of Core Path 73, which you can view here
The route of Walk and Make will be approximately 3.5 miles
If you have any questions about the route, or if you would like a walking companion, please be in touch with us by email: info@campleline.org.uk
Please note that we will be walking on unmade paths in places across fields with livestock. For this reason we ask that dogs do not join us for the walk
The route is often uneven underfoot and can be boggy walking in wet weather. There is access onto a public road, a number of gates and an ascent and descent along the route
