Friday 26 September
11.30am-1.30pm
Meet and Make: Indigo dyeing and shibori

Free to join, but booking advised

Towel-sized sheets of cotton are hung by clothespins on a washing line. They are dyed a deep indigo in different patterns.

Join us on Friday 26 September for our next creative get-together.

We will discover the delights of indigo dyeing and shibori. All materials will be provided, including cotton fabric, but please do feel free to bring any washed cotton, silk or other natural fabrics that you’d like to dye blue.

Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dye on. Briony will be baking haloumi, lemon and caramelised onion pie in our kitchen.

It’s also a chance to get a sneak preview of our autumn exhibition – Amalia Pica’s Keepsake – which opens on 4 October.

What to expect: Our monthly ‘meet and make’ sessions take place on the last Friday of each month alongside our exhibitions, offering a welcoming space for some creativity, chat and baking, and a chance to check out our latest show.

The sessions are led by our programme coordinators Briony Anderson and Kate Mink.

What to bring: All materials will be provided.

Refreshments: We provide refreshments and there will be some baking to enjoy. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you book.

Please be in touch with our colleague Emma if you have any particular access requirements or questions: emma@campleline.org.uk or 01848 331 000
