Covid-19 information

updated 10 October 2021

Please note that the Scottish Government has announced a national lockdown beginning 5 January and lasting till at least 30 January 2021.

Currently our building is open for visitors during times of exhibition and for scheduled events (screenings, workshops) where they take place alongside or between exhibitions

You can visit our exhibitions Thursday-Sunday, 11am-4pm

Pre-booking is no longer necessary, although we continue to manage the number of visitors into our exhibition space.  Please do bear with us if you have a short wait

We are following the latest Scottish Government guidelines to protect against the transmission of Covid-19

Find out more about Scottish Government restrictions that remain in place, as well as further information and advice about ways to stay safe and protect others here

We continue to monitor and implement the latest Government advice, and we will continue to update this page in relation to any new advice from the Scottish Government

Keep safe and well in the meantime

Maintaining hygiene and use of face coverings

Our staff will be wearing face coverings and we ask visitors (who are not exempt from doing so) to also wear them within our building in line with the current Scottish Government mandate.

You can read more about the public use of face coverings on the Scottish Government website here

We will have disposable face masks available if you would like one as well as hand sanitiser for your use at our entry and exit points as well as at other points in our building

Test and Protect

Prior to entry, we will ask for contact details for one person per booking, including a telephone number, for the purposes of Test and Protect

We will retain these securely for 21 days from the time of your appointment

Managing our building

The health and safety of our visitors and our team are our priority. We will continue to ensure that there is plenty of space within our building to allow for a comfortable and safe visit.

Our staff will carry out cleaning checks between each booking, and we will keep it well ventilated

For events such as screenings and workshops, we will continue with 2m distancing between seating (though not between groups or households that book together) or work areas

We will review our reopening process regularly and we will monitor:

  • any new announcements issued by the Scottish and UK Governments
  • any new specific guidance for the cultural sector
  • on-going developments in the pandemic situation

Thanks so much for your support
We look forward to seeing you soon!
