Statement on reopening and Covid-19 measures

updated 5 April 2021

Please note that the Scottish Government has announced a national lockdown beginning 5 January and lasting till at least 30 January 2021.

We are reopening undo the knot, an exhibition by artist Sara Barker, from 29 April 2021

Entry is free and by pre-booked appointment only

The exhibition will run until Sunday 23 May

Our reopening plans are in line with the Scottish Government’s timetable for easing restrictions. You can find details of the Government’s timetable here

All bookings will be subject to the latest Government advice, and we will continue to update this page in relation to any new advice from the Scottish Government

Keep safe and well in the meantime

To make it possible for us to open our exhibition within the easing of restrictions currently due to come into effect on Monday 26 April, our screenings, workshops and events will take place online until at least June 2021

We hope to begin reintroducing those elements of our programme in our building from summer 2021

We will review our reopening process regularly and we will monitor:

  • any new announcements issued by the Scottish and UK Governments
  • any new specific guidance for the cultural sector
  • on-going developments in the pandemic situation

We will accept one booking per hourly time-slot, which can comprise up to six visitors from up to a maximum of two households

Please be assured that we won’t be booking any other visits during your pre-booked time slot

Any individuals or small groups arriving at CAMPLE LINE without booking in advance will not be admitted

Your chosen entry time will be displayed on your booking confirmation

Please try to arrive on time. You have up to 35 minutes after your selected time-slot to gain entry

You are welcome to enjoy the grounds at CAMPLE LINE as long as you wish before or after your designated entry time

Maintaining hygiene and use of face coverings

Our staff will be wearing face coverings and we ask visitors (who are not exempt from doing so) to also wear them within the building

We will have disposable face masks available if you would like one as well as hand sanitiser for your use at our entry and exit points

Our staff will carry out cleaning checks between each booking

If you or anyone in your booking presents any of the Covid symptoms near to the time of your visit, we ask that you please do not attend without first contacting us about your booking

Please note that at this time:

  • Our toilet facilities will be reserved for use by our team only, and their use by visitors will be at the discretion of the team member on duty

Measures we are putting in place

The health and safety of our visitors and our team are our priority. In line with Government measures, we will require all visitors to observe physical distancing by allowing 2m distance at all times and to respect any signage in place

We will have a one-way system through our building and signage will indicate the simple route

If you use a wheelchair or have reduced mobility and require lift access to view our upstairs gallery, please do let us know in advance

Test and Protect

Prior to entry, we will ask for contact details for one person per booking, including a telephone number, for the purposes of Test and Protect

We will retain these securely for 21 days from the time of your appointment

Thanks so much for your support  – we look forward to seeing you again soon
