Tetrapak printing workshop with Kate Mink

£3/£2

Materials and refreshments provided
Any U16s must be accompanied by an adult

Join artist Kate Mink for a printing class with a difference, using a pasta maker as a press.

In this session, you’ll explore a printing process with Kate using materials that you might find to hand in a kitchen. Using recycled Tetrapak packaging Kate will show participants how to create ‘etched’ printmaking ‘plates’ using drypoint tools. You can draw on the many shapes, textures and forms in our current exhibition or follow your own inspiration. You’ll ink up your ‘plates’ with water-based inks and then make small prints using a pasta maker as press.

Kate Mink is a visual artist and works across a range of materials and processes, including photography, collage, printmaking and encaustic, producing beautiful, evocative works that reference dream states, imagined worlds, and memory alongside flora and fauna. She has recently returned to Dumfries and Galloway, having lived in California for 20 years.
