We are pleased to announce dates for a solo exhibition of new work by Brazilian artist Tonico Lemos Auad at CAMPLE LINE this autumn

Opening Saturday 2 October, Auad will present a number of new works that engage with the architectural features of our gallery spaces, and build on his recent use of wood reclaimed from buildings or storm-damaged forests in combination with textiles and other materials such as bronze

The exhibition will run until 12 December 2021

Tonico Lemos Auad was born in Belém, Brazil, and now lives and works in London. His work explores physical manifestations of belief, specifically looking at the personal or cultural significance afforded objects in everyday life. Often encompassing notions of architecture and landscape, Auad’s unique way of working subverts traditional techniques associated with craft such as embroidery, woodcarving and stonemasonry
